To foster, maintain and promote on behalf of its members all activities relating to air shows   Assist in the organization of air shows and related events   To liaise with, and actively support the Aero Club of South Africa and make contributions where possible to international air shows and events   To select, train and support where possible, air show acts   To be proactive in all matters relating to safety at air shows   To create and maintain a proper Manual Of Procedure (MOP) incorporating a code of conduct which clearly defines the rights, duties, privileges, obligations and responsibilities of all parties who participate in an air show with the specific goal of making air shows safe   To advance relations and co-operation amongst all stakeholders   To maintain and co-ordinate a calendar of all air shows and related events   To influence laws and regulations pertaining to air shows and any aviation related to air shows   To promote air shows amongst previously disadvantaged communities   To establish and maintain a secretariat   To act as mediators and arbitrators in any dispute between ASSA members
