I have been involved in military aviation since 1969 and civilian aviation since 1970. I have been involved in civilian flying instruction since 1972 and military flying instruction since 1976. Joined Denel Aviation Flight Test Department Jan 1994. I have been involved in maintenance test flying since 1975 and production test flying since 1994. I have flown the Hawk and fly part time at Sky Class and have flown with other Regional Airlines as first officer on DC3/4, HS 748 & F28 aircraft. I also as the CAA approved Flight Safety Officer of the Denel Aviation Flight Test department. I was appointed as the CAA approved Flight Safety Officer of the Sasol Tigers. I have just completed masters program in Human Factors and System Safety through The School of Aviation at Lund University , Sweden , so my other position at Denel Aviation is as a Human Factors Integration Specialist . I also work part time with Global Aviation Consultants as a Human Factors consultant for whom I have recently returned from Gabon where I was initiating the implementation of a Safety Management System in a small airline. I also serve as the chairman of the Human Factors Integration work group for the upgrade of the SAAF Oryx Helicopter. I have also been accepted as a member of the international Human Factors and Ergonomics society.
